This position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing activities in the Product and Engineering departments, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the company. Essential Functions: Serve as a member of RFP360s leadership team, working with other company leaders to assess and decide upon major business and technical strategies, opportunities, and priorities. Oversees the preparation and final approval of project plans while partnering closely with the CEO. Conducts or acquires cost analysis for development projects; prepares or delegates preparation of schedule of project completion dates. Ensures that projects are completed within budget and in an economical manner. Establishes and implements the strategic direction of the company's engineering and product initiatives. In concert with the other leadership, plan and execute product releases. Set ambitious timelines that - through intelligent communication, resource planning, and leadership - you will aim to meet or beat. Lead and inspire the product and engineering teams as both tackle compelling technical challenges and build outstandingly usable and reliable software for thousands of businesses. Recruit and retain top engineering talent by managing and mentoring team members. Foster an optimistic, energetic, \"can-do\" spirit that will inspire engineering managers and individual contributors alike to focus on solutions - not roadblocks. Collaborate to implement sound processes and methodologies. Technically evaluate RFP360s legacy code for refactoring and optimal progress. Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree from a reputed university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. 10 years' experience in Engineering or a related field. 2-5 years' experience at the Executive level or above. Clear understanding of what makes engineering teams and organizations work, and a commitment to good management principles and partnerships across teams. Preferred Master's in Business Administration Successful track record of leading a team in a fast-paced or start-up environment. Possesses substantial hands-on software engineering experience.
